2006 – The most recent studio album, and Michael’s personal favourite. Recorded in Manchester at the Charlatan’s studio, and also at Johnny Marr’s home studio, it includes 11 of Michael’s finest songs as well as his amazing cover of ‘Alone Again Naturally.’ Features guest appearances from Chris Hillman, Herb Pedersen, Ron Sexsmith and Jackie Leven, and adorned with beautiful cover art from the northern painter Sophie Nixon.

“A powerful work of unblinking emotional seriousness. Entombed in gorgeously sepulchral tunes, the effect is quite magnificent. King is indeed a special talent.”
